SafeRack is a wonderful example of high tech manufacturing in rural America. RDP was pleased to provide $15 million in NMTC allocation to make the new plant possible.
The project is located in a distressed rural census track in Andrews, SC and is also located within a South Carolina State Enterprise Zone and is a FEMA-designated Major Disaster Declaration Area due to severe storms and flooding in October 2015.
SafeRack is a subsidiary of SixAxis LLC and an industry leader in the manufacturing of fall protection equipment. SafeRack financed a $21.25 million new plant construction, which included $15 million in RDP NMTC allocation.
For more than a decade, SafeRack has spurred the manufacturing renaissance in America with high-tech manufacturing opportunities in the precision welding, laser cutting, robotic and assembly technologies. The company’s patent-pending technologies, used to manufacture fall protection and loading/unloading systems, safeguard workers and enable them to work more efficiently in demanding industrial environments.
